1. This course is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him/her perform duties in Islamic Financial Sector and other related sectors. The Islamic financial services industry is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide. However, there has been slow or no response to the capacity building challenges experienced in the sector. This diploma therefore provides trainees with an in-depth introduction to Islamic finance and related areas. Trainees will be informed on the specialized tenets of Islamic financial services. A graduate of this course will be able to work in a salaried or selfemployment. To achieve this, units such as entrepreneurship, business communication, life skills, French, information and communication technology have been included.
Programme Objectives
The general objectives of the technical training programmes are to:
a) develop skills which will be  responsive and relevant to the country’s human re sources required at the middle level;
b) prepare the trainees so that they can enter the world of work with  confidence for either salaried  employment or self-employment;
c) impart adequate skills which will enable the trainee to perform middle supervisory functions.
